F A Q 's

Hints and tips on matters related to importing vehicles from Japan.

       Q. Are Japanese cars built to the same spec's as UK / Euro models ?

Yes, but with better options and better finishes.

        Q. No , I mean , are they as good as the cars in my country ?

Yes, they are better than your countries models, Japanese vehicles have very high specifications and many options fitted as standard. Air conditioner, power windows, central locking, retractable door mirrors, heated door mirrors, dual airbags, Alloy wheels, etc, etc. Most cars have these fitted from new in Japan.
But, more importantly in my opinion is the way they are used. In Japan cars are checked regularly and tested for road ordinance safety every year or two years depending on type of vehicle. In Japan also, if there are any problems with the vehicle they go into a specialist garage and get new parts , not re-con parts or any old parts and they are fixed by trained mechanics not 'Bobs ya uncle' !! Very few people have even looked under the hood , let alone try to fix something ! Everything is checked and repaired by professional. Also, Japan is a small country with some very narrow roads ! Cars don't get used like they do in other countries, they have low mileage and low general use. It's very easy for anyone to get an auto loan over here , so everyone can afford to buy a new or relatively new vehicle. That's why there is such an abundance of cars in Japan.       ( Plus Japanese like to by new trendy things ! )

        Q. So is it worth my while to import a car from Japan ?

Yes, we think so ( and a lot of other people seem to think so ) That's why there are so many imports going into the UK, Ireland , Australia, New Zealand and every other country in-between. You get a better condition vehicle at a better price. The equivalent year vehicle in your country will not be anywhere near the same condition and mileage....and it will be anywhere from £1000 ~ £5000 more expensive ! You can save big money importing your own vehicles from Japan.

Q.Can I get parts and service for a Japanese vehicle ?

Yes, most garages now can supply parts for your new imported vehicle. There are also specialist importers for these types of parts. I can also supply you with an after parts service if you do get stuck.     ( In fact my parts prices are direct from Japan , so they are cheaper than UK prices anyway. ) No problem with parts.

        Q. How do I choose the car I want ?

Do you know what you want ? There is heaps of info. in magazines and on the internet, look around and find out what you want. Then tell me exactly . What colour, engine, year, condition and what price you want to pay. I will give you a quote for the perfect car for you .If you have any questions, just ask, we sort out what it is exactly that you want and I will tell you what the best options are for you. There are thousands of cars at auctions every week, finding a perfect car for you isn't hard ! You can even come over here and choose the car yourself.

        Q. What do I do next ?

After we know what you want, a deposit will start the process. Either you come here to buy yourself or I buy for you. We send you photos of the perfect car in detail and get it ready for shipping then send it to the port for boarding. We organize all the shipping and insurance for you. You will now be required to make the final payment and upon receipt of this we express mail you the Shipping documents and original invoices directly. When the car is close to arriving you will be contacted by the handling agent or other port authorities in your country. They will request copies of the original documents        ( which you have in your possession )  and upon receiving these documents and upon receipt of payment ( Tax and Duties ) if applicable the vehicle will be released to you. You will then have to apply for the SVA ( single vehicle assessment ) ( if applicable ) and MOT ( for UK ) . It's quite easy and we will be here to help you all the way through the process.
